January 12th, 2010 More snow
Snowing, snowing ,snowing. Britain is still bracing itself for more snowfall. Forecasters said the deep freeze could last for another 10 days. There are lots of disruption, the roads, railways and airports .
I have had enough of the snow, it is freezing everywhere. On the road, you can’t even walk straight. You need to keep a good eye on where you are going. Everybody walks like a penguin swaying side by side trying hard not to fall on the icy slippery road. Cyclist are trying very hard to keep their balance. It makes me wonder how can they cycle on snow without falling over? I have the courage to cycle when the weather is good and the road is dry but I always fall down, never mind on an icy road.
But snow is not all in all too bad. Some people especially children are having the time of their lives: sledging down hills. making snowmen, throwing snowballs. On the way to work you see snowmen at the bus stop, on the pavements,on a bench and in a garden. While the kids in the neighbourhood are having a blast playing with the snow, I am also having a blast playing with my digital camera. Like a real pro, I was brave enough to walk on the snowy fields, and along the frozen river taking photographs of views that captured my eye. Ignoring the freezing temperature, I sat, lay, knelt on the snow trying to get a nice angle for my photographs.
